Laura’s years of experience in the affordable housing, grants management and public administration fields can assist your organization in meeting your goals and objectives.
Laura has over 22 years of experience working in public administration, grants management and affordable housing. She has worked for local governments and housing authorities since 2001. She holds a Master of Professional Studies in Real Estate degree from Georgetown University, a Master of Public Administration Degree from Valdosta State University, and a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Georgia Southwestern State University.
In her role at the housing authority she has been responsible for the coordination and management of real estate transactions and construction projects to include Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) developments. Over the years she has also been responsible for the management of HUD grants to include the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnership Program (HOME), along with other various federal grants such as EPA Brownfield Assessment and Cleanup Grants. As a local government employee, Laura was also responsible for the management of the local government’s Real Estate Program where she was involved in all property transactions to include acquiring, leasing and selling City owned properties, and the administration of the Columbus Land Bank Authority. She has been involved in numerous affordable housing developments, brownfield remediation projects, and economic development projects.
